The Best of Paris Fashion Week – Spring 2010

Am fost destul de fascinat de noile trenduri în materie de fashion defilate pe podiumul parizian de anul acesta… Forme provocatoare (Jean Paul Gaultier şi-a numit colecţia G-Spot, iar denumirea nu a fost doar din lipsă de inspiraţie, trust me…), culori care mai de care mai ciudate şi pattern-uri puţin cam prea avandgardiste pentru gustul meu (Alexander McQueen a apelat la imprimeuri digitale complete în culori pure pentru aproape jumătate din prezentare). O mare dezamăgire a mea a fost noua colecţie Red Label semnată Vivienne Westwood, despre care a declarat că nu s-a ocupat sub nici o formă şi s-a văzut dramatic de tare acest lucru, iar noua propunere de trend în genţi semnat Louis Vuitton s-a oprit la doar 6 exemplare noi, ceea ce mi se pare puţin pentru renumele designerului (ca să nu mă iau de faptul că, după părerea mea, decizia de a folosi doar frizuri afro imense pentru colecţia de haine a stricat mare parte din ideile prezentate acolo)…

Am ales o parte din ţinutele care mi s-au părut foarte interesante şi în acelaşi timp flattering pentru femeia modernă din existenţa mea marcată de testosteron, iar ca nume, veţi găsi mai jos creaţii Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint-Laurent, Givenchy, Akris, Christian Dior şi Miu Miu (Prada).

Why is our universe designed around fashion? Because this is the way we show our beauty to the world. We can dress in the most spectacular outfit in the world or wear just our favourite perfume. We feel like we are alive. Why? Because it represents us. If you wouldn’t shop, want more every day and love every single moment of it, we wouldn’t be as attractive to all of you men… We wouldn’t evolve into the women you want to have, marry or just lie about…

Make-up is important to a girl, just like her hair, shoes, clothes or closet space. We have to have them all or nothing. I think we don’t really care how we get them, as long as we do. So, the best relationship advice you can receive as a man is don’t be caught between a woman and her closet. You will be crushed before you can say “Sex and the City”!

Paris is where our feminine side shines more than anywhere in the world… Here, we can be romantic, we can love, hate, shop, fall head over heals or even die… It’s just a girl’s favourite city! New York offers us a future of happiness, Paris gives us LOVE!

The city loves us all, single or married, rich or poor, happy or sad, beautiful or usual… We all get better here, richer, happier and, certainly, more beautiful. France’s capital turns even a huge piece of steel into a world wide symbol. Napoleon wanted to give to it the entire world as a gift. That has to mean something, right?

Every girl has her beautiful heart made of parts, every one being for loving something else. We have space in our heart for chocolate, fashion in general, our children, love, the perfect pair of shoes and… Paris! Because it is everything that makes me a beautiful woman and here I can find everything to keep being this way forever…

Săptămâna modei la Paris… Trecere în revistă…

Anul acesta, Paris-ul a adunat pentru Săptămâna Modei cei mai vestiți designeri din lume și toate muzele lor… Evidențiați au fost Karl Lagerfeld (care a prezentat-o pe Lilly Allen drept noua imagine a campaniei de genți Chanel), Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen și Vivienne Westwood, care a compensat o colecție slabă bărbătească cu inițiativa de a o transforma pe Pamela Anderson într-o balerină legată și cu fundul bombat, pentru un succes imens… Enjoy!
